About The Game

Light Up the Dark is a 2.5D colony survival simulation set in a pitch-black world filled with unseen horrors.

Players collect resources, construct buildings, automate production, research strange technologies, and explore a procedurally generated map.

They manage three different classes of colonists, trying to keep them sane or making use of their insanity. The game presents an endless series of challenges, allowing players to solve problems in their own way.

The game features elements of steampunk, alchemy, and cosmic horror.

Key Features

• Survival against the darkness: There is no natural light in this world. To survive, players must build artificial lights and keep them running.
• Sanity–insanity mechanics: Colonists’ minds are unstable and prone to madness. Players must keep them sane or find ways to make use of insanity.
• Procedurally generated map.
